Case Study: LibMob

An example of a full-featured mobile application is LibMob, a mobile book research application that can be used by almost any mobile device, including the iPhone.

If you're at a library or book store and want to know more about a particular book like prices or reviews, LibMob will give you the info you need. All you need is to give LibMob the ISBN (i.e. the barcode number) or a book title.

LibMob has interfaces for iPhone, SMS, and most cell phones with web access.

iPhone users can go to i.libmob.com to use LibMob's iPhone interface, complete with additional features, animations, and styling.

If you don't have an iPhone, LibMob can also be used by most cell phones with web access. If you can browse the web on your cell phone, go to m.libmob.com to use LibMob's mobile web interface.


SMS Messaging Interface

Lastly, you can get book information by sending a text message with the ISBN or book title to LibMob. Just text LBMB [ISBN or book title] to 41411.
