QA Tester

DevelopmentNow is a growing, leading-edge digital agency founded in 2005 located in the vibrant Central Eastside district of Portland. Our office shares the neighborhood with many partnering digital agencies and creative firms, plus we are close to the best coffeeshops this side of the Burnside Bridge. We are currently seeking a part-time QA professional to join our team.

We focus on using Agile Scrum methodologies, industry best practices, and innovative solutions to deliver tangible value to businesses and organizations via new technology and reliable processes. DevelopmentNow has provided digital solutions for a variety of companies, including startups, agency partners, and enterprise Fortune 500 firms. Some of our recent clients include Kelly Services, Microsoft, BBDO, AT&T, Ogilvy, Manheim, Avery Dennison, and Time Warner Cable.

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years of QA experience in a rigorous testing environment

  • Some experience with test plan preparation and regular execution

  • Ability to monitor and adjust to changes in product scope

  • Capacity to troubleshoot and work collaboratively with developers

  • Patience to execute testing on multiple devices/systems

  • Good organizational skills to keep track of tasks and evolving processes

  • Solid interpersonal communication skills

  • Very strong attention to detail

  • Experience with mobile devices

Responsibilities of a QA Tester

As a QA Tester, you will spend your time translating requirements into tests, running those tests, logging defects and following them through the established workflow, and coming up with creative ways to break software. In addition, you will join daily standups for your projects and participate in meetings. You should have an analytical mind, willingness to learn, and a passion for quality.
